Strollers and wheelchairs

With the Westendorf mountain railway, you can enjoy the Tyrolean mountains in complete relaxation, whether with a wheelchair, pram or buggy. The gondolas are spacious and offer wide entrances to ensure easy access for everyone. Once at the top, low-barrier paths and family-friendly routes await you, making your excursion into nature a real pleasure.

Parking

There is a disabled car park directly at the valley station of the Alpenrosenbahn gondola. For more detailed information or queries, you can call the ticket office in advance on +43 5334 2000.

The Alpenrosenbahn gondola in Westendorf has a door width of 60 cm.

Tariff guidelines for persons with disabilities

  • Adults with disabilities: Adults with a degree of disability of 70% or more receive the youth rate for: all SkiWelt day tickets, SkiWelt Wintercard (season ticket) | Mountain Experience-Card | Mountain Experience Summercard (season ticket)
  • Children with disabilities: Children and Teens with a degree of disability of 70% or more receive a free ticket (born 2007 - 2019)
  • Seniors with disabilities: Seniors (born 1945 or later) with a disability of 70% or more receive the SkiWelt Wintercard (season ticket) at the children's price.
  • Accompanying people: The accompanying adult who is required according to the permit receives the youth price for all SkiWelt day tickets, SkiWelt Wintercard (season ticket) | Mountain Experience-Card | Mountain Experience Summercard (season ticket)
  • Important: Please present a valid proof of identity showing the percentage of disability.
  • Note: There are no discounts for those with a disability level less than 70%.

Cabins

There is currently no hut that is completely barrier-free. Nevertheless, some places are easily accessible: you can reach the Brechornhaus via the accessible Alpinorama hiking trail (easy version). The Talkaser mountain restaurant is located right next to the Alpenrosenbahn mountain station and is therefore also easily accessible.

Skiing

Adaptive skiing such as alpine skiing, monoskiing, snowboarding, swingboarding (swingbo), cross-country skiing, firn gliding and short skis on skibobs is possible in SkiWelt Westendorf. The prerequisite in all SkiWelt resorts is adequate mastery of the adaptive skiing variant.
