Starting Point: Mountain Station Astberg

The ascent with Astbergbahn is not only comfortable, but also worthwile. It is a starting point to a breath taking view of the nearby Wilder Kaiser. By arriving the mountain station, you can enjoy the beautiful view before you start your hike passing the Pony Alm and walking through meadows and forests to the "Lierstätt Kreuzung". From there, follow the path to the right in direction of the Brenneralm. An insider tip for a cosy rest and stop - with a fantastic panorama. Now you can either hike along the forest road or directly over the Schwaiglerkogel (1278m) back to the Astbergbahn mountain station.
