ALPENIGLU® - Igloo Village: a World of icy Attractions

You can book to stay overnight at the ALPENIGLU Igloo Village from New Year’s Day 2012 up to and including 25.03.2012. The snow bar will be open from 20.12.11, depending on snow conditions. Overnight stays for private guests are possible from Thursday until Sunday; the ALPENIGLU Igloo Village is reserved for groups from Monday to Wednesday. The Magic of the icy night takes place on wednesday and saturday. 

 

This snow village of 18 igloos is located at Hochbrixen mountain station and is easily accessible for non-skiers.
The Igluhotel, church, restaurant, bar, sun lounge and exhibition. The ALPENIGLU® village is a theme park with a difference. At its heart is, of course, the material, of which winter dreams are made: ice! – highlights in the ice art ICE LAND exhibition include fondue on a crystal-clear ice table, nights in the Igloo Suite, cool drinks from glasses made of ice: hand-made ice sculptures by international artists exhibited and displayed to stunning effect with high-tech lighting. Every winter, international ice sculptors come here to work on their curious creations on annually changing themes.
This year’s theme at the ice exhibition in the ALPENIGLU® village is “TIME TRAVEL” . The ALPENIGLU® guides conduct multi-lingual tours through the exhibition, describing the works and the artists, their intentions and the skills required for carving of the ice-sculptures and shedding light on all aspects of the igloo village.
