Welcome in yesterday
In the middle of the ski slope, or Hexenwasser in Hochsöll, there’s a place where time seems to stand still. Here, an old farmhouse, dating back to over 400 years, stands as a proud testimony of the past - the SIMONALM. The original building from the neighbouring village of Brixen was dismantled plank by plank and beam by beam, then rebuilt by us here and furnished in a style characteristic of its era.
The 400-year-old farmhouse equipped with state-of-the-art conferencing technology! Yet the former parlours and chambers are intended to give you an impression of what life was like on the mountain pasture.
The idea behind the Simonalm is to make you think about life on the farm, to reflect on the work in the mountains and its tradition. At the Simonalm, you encounter a world of legends, stories, songs, games, recipes, prayers, folk sayings, customs and traditions.
And you leave it inspired and uplifted, taking home with you the thought of how previous generations once lived in the mountains. We want to give this “legacy” a new home at the Simonalm.
In summer, the Hexenwasser mountain theme park with 60 activity stops and the Hohe Salve – the mountain with Tyrol’s best views and the highest pilgrimage church in Austria.
In winter, SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental, SkiWelt Söll – Austria’s biggest night skiing resort and toboggan runs (two floodlit at night)
