Welcome to yesterday

In the middle of Hexenwasser, there is a place where time seems to stand still. Here, a 400-year-old farmhouse stands as a proud testament to the past - the SIMONALM. The original "Prandl" building from neighboring Brixen was dismantled board by board and beam by beam, rebuilt in Hexenwasser and furnished in a style typical of the time.
The former parlors and chambers tell me about life on a mountain pasture.

In the Simonalm I encounter the world of legends, stories, songs, games, recipes, farming rules, customs and traditions. There I learn more about the appreciation and creation and the working life of the farmers. A reflection and journey back to the origins.

And I leave the mountain pasture, inspired and carried by the idea of what previous generations experienced up here on the mountain.

Eilight - the new chicken museum

The "EILIGHT": a journey to the very smallest and the very furthest. From the gondola, I can see large eggs next to the Simonalm and this is where the egg race begins, or rather an egg dance. The secrets of the hen's egg, "Which came first, egg or hen?" are kept in the "Eilight" hen museum. Discover the egg art track, the hatching egg and the chick kindergarten.
