Winter in Ellmau
In winter, Ellmau presents itself from December to April as a versatile ski village in the best location of the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental. The modern 10-seater Hartkaiserbahn gondola lift takes you directly into the heart of the ski area. There are spacious practice slopes and well-equipped ski schools for beginners.
A floodlit toboggan run, winter hiking trails in the valley and on the mountain as well as the winter circuit through Ellmi's magic world, snowshoe trails, rustic privately run huts and après-ski right in the village round off the off-piste offerings.

There are several ways to get to Ellmau: Drivers can use the Inntal motorway (A12) and take the Kufstein-Süd (toll-free) or Wörgl-Ost exits. If you are travelling by train, travel to Kufstein, Wörgl or St. Johann and change there to a bus or taxi. For air travellers, Innsbruck, Munich or Salzburg are the nearest airports.
