11er-Kaiserblick

You start at the hiking information point in Ellmau village centre and walk up to the local mountain via the Marienkapelle chapel (trail no. 8). At the Jezz AlmResort - the last opportunity for a culinary break before the longer section - you change to hiking trail no. 11, which you follow via the Höhenangeralm, Botenalm and Schwendteralm, always slightly up and down, through a varied landscape of meadows, forest and along babbling streams until you reach the Eibergalm.

The panoramic trail then takes you past the Tanzbodenteich pond to the mountain station of the Hartkaiserbahn cable car at "Ellmi's Zauberwelt". The Bergkaiser restaurant offers a relaxing break on the sun terrace. Then continue on trail no. 2 to the Ranhartalm. If you like, you can sample fresh mountain cheese here and take it home with you.

Afterwards, take trail no. 7 through an idyllic spruce forest down to the Hartkaiserbahn valley station and from there back to the village.
