Having arrived on the Astberg Going with the chairlift, I experience the idyllic Astbergsee lake, which is rightly called the Mirror of the Emperor! At the Pony Alm, I can explore the area on the backs of ponies. The high-altitude hiking trail leads towards Ellmi's Zauberwelt. There I hike uphill and downhill through meadows and forests in untouched nature until I reach the Hartkaiser. Once at the top, there is plenty to experience in the magical world of Ellmi the frog. Finally, I take the comfortable Hartkaiserbahn cable car down into the valley and take the "KaiserJet", the free bus service, to the starting point in Going.
Tip
Sturdy shoes and your own food are recommended, as the alpine huts along the Elferweg trail are not open to the public.
