Information for ski tourers
Ski area out of operation
The SkiWelt slopes have been closed by SkiWelt for safety reasons.
Currently, dismantling work is underway throughout the ski area: The protection of all dangerous areas is therefore not guaranteed.
For your own safety, we therefore expressly ask you to refrain from ski touring in the SkiWelt.
The signs and instrucitons of our staff must be followed at all times. Thank you for your understanding.
The Wilder Kaiser - Brixental cable cars and lifts would like to point out that touring is only permitted when the slopes are open, according to the guidelines.
When going up the mountain with touring skis, please keep to the edge of the slope and ascend in single file.
Outside of operating hours, slopes are also groomed with winch cats. These cables can be extended up to 1,000 m in length. Once the snow groomer tightens the cable there lurks serious danger, as the cable can swing up to 40 m to the left or right.
We therefore ask you not to underestimate the danger that exists outside lift operating hours, for your own safety and that of our snow groomer drivers.
Safety comes first - we kindly ask for your understanding.
SkiWelt Westendorf has a signposted ascent lane next to the piste, especially for ski touring. It starts at the valley station of the Alpenrosenbahn and goes up to the Talkaser and the Choralmbahn.
