Kaiserlift single chairlift

The historic Kaiserlift Kufstein carries me gently up to the wide alpine meadows of the Steinbergalm. Even the ride itself feels special. Sitting on the single chair, I float quietly above forests and gently flowing streams, moving at an easy pace that lets me truly slow down. With every metre gained, the noise of everyday life fades a little more.

At around 1,200 metres above sea level, a different world opens up. Peaceful alpine landscapes, well-kept hiking trails and scenic views of the surrounding peaks create a sense of freedom. The rustic huts along the way invite me to pause and soak it all in. I’m especially touched by the thoughtfully designed “Places of Awareness” and scenic viewpoints that encourage me to reflect on the beauty and value of this natural environment. From up here, I can also look down towards the National Park below the impressive Wilder Kaiser Mountains, where wildlife still finds its space.

Thanks to the cooperation between the mountain railways in Ellmau-Going and the Kaiserlift Kufstein, even more possibilities open up for me as a hiking and nature enthusiast. With the combined ticket of SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental, I can explore a wide variety of routes and viewpoints, also on the other side of the Wilder Kaiser mountain and the Brixental valley too.

Nature experience trail

From the middle station of the Kaiserlift, 14 interactive stations have been set up to promote motor skills, relaxation and awareness of our natural surroundings.

On Saturday, the 12th of September. we will head up to the Brentenjoch above Kufstein early in the morning. And here we get to do yoga - in this uniquely powerful setting. The photo was taken in May, when there was still a bit of snow on the Wild Kaiser, but now in September we are ringing in the late summer here. The heat is over, we enjoy fresh morning dew and gaze through fine light fog. You can comfortably take the Kaiserlift up. We will start together with gentle yoga and meditation. To conclude, there will be a refreshment from @kruut_organic. Please register in good time, as the spots are very limited.

And after yoga? You are already high up at about 1300 m and can continue hiking from there, letting your thoughts wander, savoring the late summer, visiting a nearby mountain hut and stopping for a meal, or you can take the lift back down into the valley. You decide, your yoga - your practice!
