Kaiser Mountains Kufstein

The historic Kaiserlift Kufstein carries me gently up to the wide alpine meadows of the Steinbergalm. Even the ride itself feels special. Sitting on the single chair, I float quietly above forests and gently flowing streams, moving at an easy pace that lets me truly slow down. With every metre gained, the noise of everyday life fades a little more.

At around 1,200 metres above sea level, a different world opens up. Peaceful alpine landscapes, well-kept hiking trails and scenic views of the surrounding peaks create a sense of freedom. The rustic huts along the way invite me to pause and soak it all in. I’m especially touched by the thoughtfully designed “Places of Awareness” and scenic viewpoints that encourage me to reflect on the beauty and value of this natural environment. From up here, I can also look down towards the National Park below the impressive Wilder Kaiser Mountains, where wildlife still finds its space.

Thanks to the cooperation between the mountain railways in Ellmau-Going and the Kaiserlift Kufstein, even more possibilities open up for me as a hiking and nature enthusiast. With the combined ticket of SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental, I can explore a wide variety of routes and viewpoints, also on the other side of the Wilder Kaiser mountain and the Brixental valley too.
