SHRED DOWN ROCKS – BÄNKED SLALOM 16.-18.3
SHRED DOWN – The CULT- Event with a new concept
For over two decades, the SHRED DOWN has been regarded as the cult event in the Austrian snowboard scene.
What began in 1998 as the "Call of the Wild" has developed over the years into the Austrian and German championships in the Olympic discipline of slopestyle. Freestyle snowboarding is experiencing a development towards a high-performance sport. Therefore also the requirements for the individual ski areas for such events has been growing.
Although much has been done over the years to preserve the fun park and thus for the freestyle sport in Westendorf, it must also be stated that the project Boarders Playground as a venue for national and international slopestyle championships reaches its limits, which is why the cult Event has now been redesigned and will present itself again in its 20-year anniversary season as a fun sport and music festival in new clothes:
Instead of the slopestyle contest, a banked slalom will take place for the first time and everyone can participate.
A cool weekend with numerous SIDE EVENTS awaits children as well as the whole family!
