The evening Ménage à trois is dedicated to Clara Schumann (née Wieck), Robert Schumann, and Johannes Brahms. It paints an expressive portrait of this trio during the years 1853–1856. Touching diary entries and harrowing letters reflect on a deep artistic friendship and explore the secret of a hidden love.
