Erl

An authentic Tyrolian village directly by the Bavarian-Tyrolean border. As the village´s landmark the venturous architecture of the passion play house rises to the skies - a link between mountain and valley. On 470 to 1.600 m sea level, Erl is directly situated at the Bavarian-Tyrolean border.

The passion in the alps has a tradition which reaches back far, thus also in Erl. The house of passion plays is housing the passion plays of Erl - the building with its daring and remarking shape has become Erl's landmark. Not only the passion plays are being held here but also many other cultural events - among those the famous Tyrolean Festival Erl.

Saturday 9.00 am - 1.00 pm

On Advent weekends the office is open on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
