A medieval custom that also has a long tradition in Tyrol is the mountain fires (Johannisfeuer), which are lit at the summer solstice on the Wilden Kaiser. Numerous clubs and groups make their way every year to light their fires that evening and celebrate the longest day of the year. Shortly
