Brandstadl round

I start my hike at the cable car car park in Scheffau and first follow the signs towards Brandstadl KaiserWelt on hiking trail no. 40. At the bridge, I turn right at the petrol station, cross the gravel car park and then take the asphalt path uphill to the right. At the next junction, I keep right again and continue uphill on a narrower path through the forest.

Trail no. 40 takes me past the Hochlechen mountain inn to the Neualm. From there, I continue uphill, passing the Tanzbodenalm on the right, until I finally reach the Brandstadl mountain restaurant .

At the top, the KaiserWelt is an exciting adventure play forest - a real highlight, especially for families. A circular route also takes me to the Brandstadl summit cross and the idyllic Jochstub'n See lake, where I can take a short break and enjoy the view.

I have several options for the way back: I can take the cable car down into the valley in comfort or continue along the panoramic trail towards the Hartkaiser. From there, hiking trail no. 1 takes me via the Schmiedalm, the Hochschwendt snack station and the Egg farm back to Scheffau.
