Three generations under one roof! 
Only together are we strong!

The Schernthanners: 
Berta & Hans, the seniors, always active! Berta in guest care at the regulars’ table and Hans, always busy around the house, yard, and especially with his "Butterhirschen" (cows), always ready for a "chat."

The Blankenhorns: 
Evelyn & Marcus, both always with an open ear for our guests. Evelyn, the good fairy of the house, always there; “where the fire is burning.” Mainly responsible for the reception, suggestions, and wishes of the guests. Marcus, the chef, ensures culinary well-being with his team. He loves to cook with regional products from local producers and farmers.

Johannes, Theresa, and Florian, the third generation.
All three with a passion for agriculture and gastronomy.

Johannes, our successor for the house and farm, graduated in 2019 with a successful diploma "Origin" from the higher federal agricultural school in Elixhausen near Salzburg.

Theresa graduated from the Agricultural State Teaching Institute "Weitau" in St. Johann in Tirol; afterwards, she completed her training as a hotel and restaurant management assistant and is currently working as a receptionist as well as a jack-of-all-trades with us at Gasthof Oberstegen.

Florian is in a 5-year training program at the Higher Learning Institute for Tourism in St. Johann; this will conclude with a maturity and diploma examination (EU-wide recognition).

Not to forget, our year-round operated farm with 15 dairy cows and 15 young cattle, which spend the summer months (from the end of May to the end of September) at our Grießenboden Alm in Fieberbrunn.
