Crossing the Kaiser from north to south The tour begins with a taxi ride to the Griesner Alm (1,024 m). From there, you ascend via the Eggersteig trail through the ‘Steinerne Rinne’, accompanied by the sight of the famous rock faces of the Fleischbank and Predigtstuhl. Take a short break at the Ellmauer Tor (2,001 m). You then climb the summit of the Vordere Goinger Halt (2,242 m), secured by easy climbing passages. At the top, you can enjoy an impressive view across the Kitzbühel Alps to the main Alpine ridge. Along the "Kleiner Panoramaweg" trail you will discover the idyllic village of Kirchbichl. Afterwards, a hearty breakfast will be served at Gasthof Schroll which will give you energy for the rest of the day. Guided mountain tour to the Ellmauer Tor This hike is one of the most popular on the Wilder Kaiser and takes you to the Wochenbrunner Alm and on via the Gaudeamushütte. You climb steadily between the mountain pines and scree fields and approach the Ellmauer Tor. Surrounded by steep rocks, you reach your destination at 1,970 metres and enjoy an outstanding view of the surrounding mountains.
