Již po bajuvarském osídlení po roce 800 a ve středověku kolem roku 1100 n. l. existovalo v dnešním Hochsöllu několik selských usedlostí, kterým se také říkalo „Schwaighöfe“. Za svou zemědělskou píli jim panství odpouštělo obvyklý naturální rentový poplatek, pokud obhospodařovali svá „léna“ po celý rok.
