First Class and „save on snow“
SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental is Austria’s largest interconnected ski area and is one of the most varied winter sport areas in the Alps, with the greatest certainty of snow. One award after another is the proof that here 279 km of ski runs, 91 modern lifts and more than 70 refreshment stops make for winter fun which is simply “world class”.
Tip top feelings are awakened by SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental by virtue of its first class infrastructure alone: from tree-free summit slopes for carvers, to richly varied slopes for experts and family slopes bathed in sunshine, to the fantastic valley descents which go on and on, all the slopes are in perfect condition.
Best of SkiWelt – those who have experienced this “formula for success” either on skis or a board, will already be familiar with the most beautiful slopes at SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental. On the Salven, Kaiser and Westendorf circuit you can, depending on your ability and fitness, proudly cover 26,300 m in distance and some 5,500 m in altitude. Uphill and downhill, magnificent views and mountains of snow are guaranteed.
Notwithstanding all the superlatives which SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental has already earned, it is the cosy atmosphere, warm hospitality and Tyrolean charm which set the tone. More than 70 of Austria’s loveliest ski huts and mountain restaurants, sun terraces and snow bars invite you to call in for a rest and a bite to eat. From a “statistical point of view” you have an opportunity to do so every 3.5 km.
“Real lasting” is what SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental proves itself to be, even after nightfall, because not even then do the lifts and gondolas come to a standstill. Given clement weather, the magic of the slopes is there to be enjoyed until after 10 pm and night birds can swing over the perfect descents down towards the sea of lights in the valley. Tobogannists also have the all clear and perfect visibility until well past midnight.
In addition SkiWelt is a winner in terms of its perfect accessibility. From Munich it is only an hour’s drive to SkiWelt and, if you take the Kufstein Süd [South] exit, you can save yourself the cost of the motorway toll because officially there are, now and for the foreseeable future, no toll booths as far as this exit. Our tip for all those in possession of a permit sticker is that you’ll get to SkiWelt even more quickly on the new express road from the motorway exit Wörgl Ost [East]. The three airports Innsbruck, Munich and Salzburg are also just an hour away.
